Women Are Re-Prioritizing How To Spend Travel Dollars

After being virtually unable to travel for close to a year, women — who have traditionally been the major decision makers when it comes to travel — are re-prioritizing how to spend their travel dollars. Women travel more often than men, accounting for 56 percent of leisure travelers, and, when it comes to family travel, studies show that women make 85 percent of all travel decisions — from where to go to what to see on the ground. The Corona beer brand is taking sustainability very seriously. In late Spring 2022, the brand's own Corona Island will open in the heart of the Caribbean Sea as a magical destination centered around sustainability. Once on the island, guests will have the opportunity to disconnect from daily stressors and anchor their all-inclusive week-long stay with immersive educational touchpoints that focus on conscious consumption and sustainable living. Spa Treatments Go Luxe

With amenities and experiences becoming more luxe as consumers want to really indulge themselves after months spent in lockdown, you knew that sooner or later the old essential oil or hot stone massage had to be reinvented. Some spas have really pulled out all of the stops and are now taking pampering and indulgence to a new level. Should We Call It The French Fry Flight?

United Airlines demonstrated the ability of used cooking oil to power a jet on a flight to the nation's capital with the aim of getting the feds to pick up some of the estimated $250 billion needed to kickstart sustainable fuels. It's all part of the carrier's public push for federal sustainable aviation fuel subsidies in its move towards net zero carbon emissions by the middle of the century. Read more in Skift here.
