It is a big push for sustainability as Google is now labeling hotels as "Eco-Certified" in searches. Hotel brands are going farther into e-commerce for their lifestyle products, and there's a new way travelers can make their vacation travel eco-positive. Read it all in our three-minute read below.

Google Now Labels Hotels "Eco-Certified" On Searches

A recent Booking.com survey found consumers reporting that finding a hotel with actual eco credibility isn’t easy — and they’re right. Hotels that take sustainability seriously don’t often shout it from the rooftops, while others tout themselves as green just for offering an option to skip daily laundering of linen. On September 22nd, Google launched a tool that labels hotels as “Eco-Certified” in global search results, with a leaf-shaped icon next to the hotel’s name. Clicking on the “About” tab will detail the property’s specific sustainability practices, such as having water use audited by an independent organization or using energy from carbon-free sources. Read more in Bloomberg here.

And The Top Holiday Travel Destinations Are...

It might be a bit too early for holiday shopping, but according to an Expedia survey, people are already booking holiday travel. The top choices for Thanksgiving and Christmas escapes are sunny beachside destinations across Mexico, the southern U.S., and the Caribbean.
