Space Camps For Adults
Sure some people got very envious when Jeff Bezos, William Shatner, and Richard Branson recently took off for space — but the reality is not everyone has that kind of spare change. So there's one company creating space camp-type travel experiences for adults — out of hotel rooms in Orlando and France to be exact! It's a boot camp for space tourism. A New Definition Of Wellness
Skift recently hosted its "Design The Future" event in which key executives from a number of leading hospitality brands sat down to discuss what the future would look like. One key finding as it related to rethinking health and happiness focused on the fact that wellness means more than a spa visit. According to the experts, "Wellness encompasses all aspects of hospitality including every single touchpoint from bedding selected to what is served poolside." Read more in Skift here.
The Hospitality Industry Is Getting Desperate For Attention
First we had the Airbnb that was the replica of Carrie Bradshaw's apartment. Then we had the opportunity to spend a night in the "Home Alone" house. And now Hotels.com has gone over the top crazy with a PR stunt requiring someone to stay in a hotel room spruced up with holiday decorations and listen to nonstop holiday music for 24 hours in order to win 25 nights in their Hotels.com account. Ski Resorts Struggle With Being 100% Sustainable

Ski season is upon us and while many of the ski resort areas are working to make their properties more environmentally friendly, the biggest threat to sustainability is Scope 3 emissions — those emissions from people flying into the destination to enjoy the slopes.
