Consumers Will Not Give Up Leisure Travel
According to a recent LinkedIn poll, consumers will cut down on business travel and eat less meat in order to be more sustainable, but they will NOT cut down on their vacations. In fact, only 16% of those surveyed were willing to cut back on leisure travel. Read more in Hospitality Net here.
Guests Want Their Breakfast Back
The 2021 J.D. Power North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study found one major change at many hotel brands since the pandemic started has been the removal or downsizing of breakfast. This has not gone over well with much of the traveling public, who reported their dissatisfaction with the reduced variety and quality of breakfast, if it was offered at all. Hotels Top Vacation Rentals
The allure of Airbnb and VRBO may be over. According to a ValuePenguin survey, 72% of respondents overwhelmingly prefer hotels and resorts to vacation rentals or timeshares, with the top reasons including better amenities (37%), ease of booking (33%), and on-site dining and bars (31%).
