The World's First Carbon Offset Concierge
We've seen all types of butlers (beach, bath, etc.), but now an Aruba resort has just added a "Carbon Offset Concierge." The property is already certified as a carbon-neutral hotel, but the installation of the new Concierge position helps travelers to use the offset program offered by their airline — or they can ask the concierge to offset the emissions through another program of their choice. Where Travelers Are Headed This Fall
According to an Expedia survey, travelers are headed to BOTH open spaces and cities through November. Top destinations include Las Vegas, Orlando, New York City, Cancun, Orange County, CA, Chicago, Los Angeles, Riviera Maya, San Diego, and Miami. As for who is traveling, Millennials are in the lead (67%) compared to Gen Z (61%), Gen X (53%), and Boomers (53%). Read more in Hospitality Net here.
What Do Wellness Travelers Want?
The Wellness Travel Association recently polled membership to find out exactly what wellness travelers seek. What was also interesting was what they DON'T want, including access to fitness trackers and apps to monitor heart rates, meetings with nutritionists, and one-on-one consultations with medical professionals. The three themes of what they DO want include: physical safety plus being safe from exposure to COVID, access to stillness and quiet spaces, and nature and the outdoors.
