Venice Really DOESN’T Have Dolphins In The Canals
Perhaps our desire to see the good in the world being locked down at home caused wishful thinking that dolphins would be swimming in the Venice canals. REALITY: they weren’t. Sure the canals were cleaner because of decreased boat activity — as was most of the world when cars and planes and people weren’t out and about as usual — but dolphins were actually never seen there. A new survey suggests that social-media influencers, many of whom are Gen Z and Millennials, will play a pivotal role in restoring confidence and contributing to the recovery of the tourism industry at large.
