JC Communications Is Now Representing The Darwin Hotel

New Atlanta Boutique Hotel To Open Later This Fall

I wanted to take a moment of your time to introduce you to my newest client: The Darwin Hotel. Both the hotel and the neighborhood it calls home are the epitome of evolution and transformation. It will open in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward near Ponce City Market in late October/early November.

What's really cool and pretty exceptional about this property is the fact that the hotel has been conceived as a way to truly showcase authentic Atlanta and the people, artisans, and businesses which make the city what it is. From the architect and interior design firm to the millwork company and the products featured at the hotel (coffee, amenities, artwork, gifts, etc.) Atlanta is showcased as never before so travelers can truly experience what Atlanta is all about in an activated and engaged community.

Here are just a few things to keep on your radar for upcoming stories:

  • The name "Darwin" was chosen because it represents evolution and change — the property and the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood are evolving into a truly exciting Atlanta destination.
  • In addition to its regular guest rooms and suites, the property will also feature eight themed suites designed for all types of stays including a Bar Room with a custom bar for those who have always dreamed of having their own bar and want to entertain in the suite; a Bunk Bed Room for a family with a hang out room, bunk beds, and extra space; the Audiophile Room for those who want to relax and listen to classic vinyl records with a turntable, the Glam Night Out Room with a wall of vanities which is perfect for everyone to get dressed up and head out for an evening out on the town or for a wedding; the Library Room which is a lovely relaxing space to read and enjoy quiet time in a library; and the Y'Allywood Room for the movie buff with a large TV, surround sound, movie lighting, a popcorn machine, etc.
  • While the hotel will always have some standard menu items in the restaurant, what is so exciting is that it will feature a pop-up chef program where up and coming Atlanta chefs who don't yet have their own restaurant will come and cook at The Darwin Hotel for a short period of time. So there will always be new and revolving flavors and dishes at the property.
  • The pet friendly hotel will have its own dog park. Other amenities include e-bikes.
  • A variety of local artists are painting murals in the hotel — definitely Instagram-worthy moments.
  • The hotel's management team is consistently sourcing local artisans for products to sell in the gift shop and to utilize throughout the hotel.

In the coming weeks I will be pulling together some helpful one sheets and will share more detail on these story angles above. We will also be looking at hosting press in late November/early December.

In the meantime, if you have any urgent needs where The Darwin Hotel might fit into a story in progress or for a roundup of new hotels opening in Q4 this year, please let me know.

Thanks for your time and as soon as we have a firm opening date, I'll share that with you.

Best,
